As displayed in the extended image for this pattern, at the default pattern height, this pattern has a negative 2.25 vertical spacing. To quilt off all four sides of the quilt (and avoid what we call "quilting divits"), you would need to add 4.5" to your actual quilt length and establish the quilt boundary as if the quilt were 4.5" longer as well as 4.5" wider. If you do not have enough backing fabric to allow the interlocking portions of the pattern to stitch off the quilt top, use your trim (or mask) function.
