Extended Width patterns are designed to quilt one belly bar full (area between the take up roller and the belly bar) by xx.x" width of quilt. If your software is E2E Mode Only, you cannot use extended width patterns. Load your quilt portrait and measure the distance across. Choose the extended width pattern whose size most closely matches that measurement.
