For Short Arm: Extended width patterns are designed to quilt a belly bar full (area between the take up roller and the belly bar) by a particular width of the quilt. To use extended width patterns, first you load your quilt and measure it across the width. Choose the extended width pattern which most closely matches that width. Intelliquilter users with the Edge-to Edge mode only cannot use extended width patterns.
